Title: Guest Lecture on Artificial Neural Network

Description: A guest lecture on Artificial Neural Networks (ANN) was conducted to introduce students to key concepts in machine learning and deep learning. The session covered the Perceptron model and its training rule, followed by multilayer networks and the backpropagation algorithm. Students were introduced to Deep Neural Networks, along with challenges like the vanishing and exploding gradient problem and their solutions. The lecture also explained Autoencoders and Stacked Autoencoders, including their working, features, and applications. Additionally, core concepts of Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) such as convolution, pooling, and feature maps were discussed, along with an overview of Recurrent Neural Networks (RNNs) and their applications in sequential data. The session provided a concise yet insightful overview of modern neural network techniques.

Event Objective: 1. To introduce fundamental concepts of Artificial Neural Networks, including the perceptron model and training rule. 2. To understand multilayer networks and the backpropagation algorithm used for learning. 3. To familiarize students with deep neural networks and challenges like vanishing and exploding gradients. 4.
