Title: Seed Grant Proposal Writing Workshop
Description: Through workshops like the sponsored seed grant proposal writing workshop, the institute aims to give young learners the support they need to think clearly, plan confidently, and grow into successful professionals and entrepreneurs. These programmes help students develop strong project ideas and understand how to prepare proper proposals for different funding agencies. With this knowledge, they can move from being job seekers to becoming job creators, people who bring new ideas to life and open opportunities for others as well. The sessions also introduce students to the process of research proposal preparation and submission. “IIC R&D” refers to the Research and Development activities under the Institution’s Innovation Council, an initiative of the Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell. This council works to promote innovation, creativity, and entrepreneurship in higher education by involving students and faculty in activities like idea development, prototype building, and understanding intellectual property. This workshop is an invitation for students to explore new possibilities, build confidence, and contribute to society through innovation and hard work.
Event Objective: The objective of this workshop is to equip students with the knowledge and skills required to develop strong project ideas and prepare effective seed grant and research proposals for various funding agencies. It aims to encourage innovative thinking, build confidence in planning and executing research or entrepreneurial projects, and introduce students to the processes involved in proposal preparation and submission. The event seeks to create awareness about the IIC R&D framework and promote a culture of innovation, creativity, and entrepreneurship among learners, ultimately guiding them to evolve from job seekers into job creators who contribute meaningfully to society.
Event Outcome: The workshop resulted in students gaining improved skills in seed grant and research proposal writing, enabling them to structure and present their ideas more effectively for various funding agencies. Participants developed clearer and more innovative project ideas while also becoming familiar with the processes of proposal preparation, documentation, and submission.
