‘Navratri- Garba & Dandiya competitions 2024’ was organized on 9th October 2024, Wednesday from 6 PM onwards. We started this event in the year 2011 with the objective of promoting and preserving the cultural heritage and traditions associated with Navratri, celebrating diversity and promoting unity. The event also teaches students how to work for a common goal, develop a sense of responsibility, and increase their confidence This is the 13th consecutive year that we are celebrating Navratri festival to promote cultural bonds, encourage participation, and promote mental and physical wellness while preserving traditional values.
Event Objective:
1. To uphold and celebrate the cultural heritage and traditions associated with Navratri through the vibrant performances of Garba and Dandiya, ensuring that these values and customs are passed on to the younger generation. 2. To bring together participants from diverse backgrounds and foster a sense of community and unity through cultural engagement. 3. To provide students with a platform to showcase their talents 4. To promote physical activity through dance and mental well-being through social engagement
Event Outcome:
The event aims to attract even more participants and audiences in the coming years, encouraging students, staff, and community members from diverse backgrounds to join and contribute to the celebration. The event will continue to promote physical and mental wellness through traditional dance activities, encouraging a balanced lifestyle for participants.
