Title Make Intern Workshop on HR Analytics

Description Makeintern organizes B-Plan Competitions in the Annual Cultural Festival of various IIM’s at their venues. This collaboration provides increased opportunities for students with innovative solutions to global problems to participate in the competition. Thirty-five teams from colleges across the globe is shortlisted, and the students are invited to present their B-Plans before a panel of judges at IIM’s Annual Cultural Festival. There should be 5 members per team, and one team per college. Each team has to present its own idea in 5-8 minutes in front of judges. This year a 5 day workshop on Business Analytics was held at KCES's IMR in association with Make Intern from 23 oct to 27 oct 2018. Around 36 students participated in this event. Ms. Maneesha , a professional trainer on Business Analytics from Bangalore conducted this workshop. In this 5 day workshop, the trainer made participants aware about the Big data analytics field and the application of statistical techniques in the field of business using softwares like R, Tablu & SAS. 2 teams comprising of 5 students each were selected at the end of workshop to participate in the International B- Plan competition to be held at IIM Kozikode.

Event Objective To gain insights into the startup world by listening to various industry experts.

Event Outcome Students understood the process of creating and using HR analytics by using correlation , regression, dashboards and metrics to quantify key outcomes performance.
